Meet Len
Len spent 40 years with the IRS in the Greater Philadelphia area in the Collection Division, Examination Division, and Appeals Division as a Technical Tax Specialist.
He resolves delinquent tax issues including Liens and Levys, Trust Fund Recovery Penalties, Installment Agreements, Employment Taxes, Negligence Penalties, Failure to File/Pay Penalties; Collection Due Process, Equivalency Hearing, Offer-in-Compromise and Unfiled Tax Returns.
Len examines financial statements, prepares legal tax analysis, and resolves tax disputes on a range of issues including business expenses, hobby losses, rental income, tax preparer penalties; and complex issues such as environmental remediation, pharmaceutical patents and licenses, de-facto merger, intermediary transactions, tax shelters, transferee liability, insolvency, coal mining, sales and leasebacks, fraudulent conveyance.
He evaluates the hazards of litigation and enters settlement negotiation in order to avoid costly litigation.
Len has written numerous technical articles and lead training classes for IRS employees in several divisions throughout his career.
He’s a member of the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA), served on several tax committees for the PICPA, and gave presentations at several PICPA, Appeals and Compliance Continuing Professional Educational classes.
